My Journey to ICF ACC Credential (spoiler alert - it was hard at times).
I'm beyond happy to share that on Monday, I have received confirmation of my ICF Associate Certified Coach credential and today I received my Credly badge for this achievement! This journey, which began back in January 2022, has been one of profound growth and relentless dedication. It also felt hard at times, juggling two jobs at one point, coaching education and coaching clients.
The road to this achievement consisted of over 230 hours of accredited training in both the NeuroLeadership Institute Brain-Based Coaching Certificate and The Somatic School Accredited Diploma in Body-Oriented Coaching. But the learning went beyond just formal education. I've also completed more than 100 hours of client coaching, benefited from invaluable mentorship, undergone detailed coaching assessments, and successfully navigated the challenging ICF exam.
A heartfelt thank you to all my coaching partners in the training environment, my incredibly supportive coaching clients, and the amazing training facilitators (Lyn Page, Bret Freeman, MCC, FRSA, Nicola O'Sullivan, Jo Guz, Sam Taylor, Nathan Blair and Laure Polidori ICF PCC). Your guidance and mentoriship have been instrumental in this journey.
This accomplishment was driven by a long held dream, first ignited by Fiona Smith, and kept watered by Divinia Knowles FCMA Assoc CIPD, my personal commitment and my core values: achievement, excellence, and stewardship. It's more than just obtaining a credential; it's about ensuring competent and ethical practice in a landscape where anyone can claim to be a coach. It's a promise to you, my clients and future clients, of quality, professionalism and ethical practice.
Feeling proud and accomplished, I am indeed sitting a little taller since receiving my exam results at 17.41 on Monday!
